Lionel is currently pursuing a Master’s in Sport, Exercise & Health (Strength & Conditioning) at AUT, building on his Bachelor of Sport and Recreation in Sport and Exercise Science.
An all-round expert in developing strength, power, speed, agility, and endurance, Lionel has worked across combat sports, basketball, rugby league, soccer, netball, touch rugby, and swimming. His experience spans assisting Israel Adesanya during the UFC 305 fight camp, training with the Touch Blacks for back-to-back World Cup silver medals, and contributing to success for Eastern Suburbs AFC, Richmond Rovers Rugby League, Mount Roskill Swimming Club and Wellington Phoenix Academy.
Lionel’s approach blends data-driven performance tracking with a deep understanding of exercise physiology and programming, whether working with elite athletes or for clients pursuing personal goals.
