Jane Ward

​​​​​​​Fitness Coach | Fitness Centre Assistant Manager

Jane graduated from Massey University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, Majoring in Prescription and Training. Group fitness is her forte, from Mums & Bubs to HIIT, Balance and Mobility, Bootcamp, Mat classes and many more! 
 
Jane grew up in Hawke’s Bay and enjoys playing netball and competing in equestrian in her spare time. 

Roy Haffner

Fitness Coach | Strength & Conditioning Coach

After finishing a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport and Exercise Science, Roy found himself wanting real experience working with people and expanding his knowledge. Originally from the South Island, Roy’s passion for performance, rehabilitation, and well-being brought him to Hawke’s bay.

Roy is a huge sports fan, mainly American Football and Rugby League which fuels his interest in Strength and Conditioning.

Lance Bridges

Fitness Coach | AquaFit Instructor

Lance has been involved in the fitness industry since the age of 18, teaching aerobics, aqua jogging and as a fitness trainer.

Lance has been trained with Les Mills Hamilton and worked in various fitness places around the country, this has enabled him to share his passion with fitness and motivating people.

“I love helping people achieve their goals.  My passion for aerobics took me around the world, representing New Zealand in competitive aerobics for 10 years.  I have also represented New Zealand in competitive roller skating. My other interests include coaching gymnastics and theatre when time allows."

Uriah Skudder

Fitness Coach 

Uriah has been in the CrossFit industry for the past decade, within those years she has had two beautiful young daughters and has been coaching for the last 3 years. 
Uriah's passion is functional fitness but also has a background in Health Sciences completed through the 
Naturopathic College of New Zealand. 

Since becoming a mother Uriah has been driven to inspire other mothers/women to become the best versions of themselves, to know what their bodies are capable of and support them pre/post-partum. 

Uriah enjoys competing competitively within the CrossFit community and is always up for a good challenge. 

James Rennie

Fitness Coach | Sport Performance & Programmes Coach

While completing his double major in Sports and Exercise and Nutrition at Otago University James found his love for Strength and Conditioning 
while working with John McGlashan College 1st XV who won the South Island competition. 

After graduating James moved up to Hawke's Bay taking the associate Strength and Conditioning 
role at HBCFCT. 

Throughout his life, he has played a whole range of sports, but his favourite has always been cricket, 
which he has developed a slight obsession for.

Michaela Edwards

Fitness Coach

Michaela holds a diploma in Sport and Recreation and is currently pursuing a degree in Sport and Exercise Science. With over two years of experience as a personal trainer, she adeptly manages her academic pursuits while imparting her knowledge to fitness enthusiasts. Michaela's dedication extends beyond the gym, and has been an avid CrossFit competitor for five years, finding inspiration and community within this dynamic 
and challenging discipline. Having lived in Canada for a year, Michalea
embraced and absorbed different facets of health and wellness. Her love for an active lifestyle led her to take people of all age ranges through exhilarating outdoor activities, including high ropes, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, and sailing. 

Chloe Macaulay

Fitness Coach | Associate Strength & Conditioning Coach

Chloe graduated from Waikato University after studying a Bachelor of Sport Health and Human Performance, majoring in Human Performance Science and Sport Development & Coaching.  During her time there Chloe worked alongside the Premier Men's Rugby team where she gained a love for working with athletes.

A Hawke’s Bay Local who grew up surrounded by sport and exercise with most of her years spent playing netball. Chloe is devoted to aiding athletes along their path to becoming the best they can be. She has a passion for hand-crafting her strength and conditioning knowledge to fit the individual needs of every person she works alongside

Jesse Harrison

Fitness Coach

Jesse began training in mixed martial arts at aged 16 and competed in MMA, Boxing, Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu out of Shuriken MMA and Sorriso BJJ in Auckland. Spending most of his nights in the gym, he began chasing a career in personal training and group fitness at Les Mills Auckland. He jumped the ditch and 
won PT of the Quarter for Western 
Australia Goodlife Health Clubs and began PT Management to help other trainers develop their businesses and systems. Jesse is now Hawke’s Bay local and when he's not in the gym, or training, he's spending time with his partner and three young boys, causing playful chaos, making memories and  soaking up all Hawks Bay has to offer.
